The Put Spread Collar

The beauty of listed options is that they can be adapted to construct the type of income or protection required for an investor's particular stock, index or portfolio. This lecture will focus on a less costly way to protect a position with the put spread collar. The put spread collar is a combination of several income and protective strategies, including covered calls and protective puts. We will demonstrate the risks and rewards for each of these spreads using the Montreal Exchange Trading Simulator.
